"I started my professional life before my profession even had a name."

Tour Director Andalusia: The Birth of an Unexpected Calling

My career didn't begin in an office — it began at a border. It was 1978 and Spain was just learning democracy when my husband, Patrick, was given the assignment to lead an innovative tour through Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkey. I decided to join him, and on that journey through unknown landscapes and distant cultures, I discovered my true vocation.

At that time, the role of Tour Director didn't even exist as such — but I already knew I wanted to dedicate my life to this.

A Passport Without Borders: From San Francisco to Tunisia

My life has been one constant journey. I toured India, Nepal, and Thailand with Viajes Politur and coordinated groups in Tunisia for Julia Tours. In 1981, my compass took us to San Francisco, where I worked with Catalan wine entrepreneurs in Napa Valley. Upon returning to Europe, I lived the golden age of 28-day grand circuits with giants like Melia Travel International, American Express, and Globus Gateway, leading groups from around the world from our bases in Amsterdam, London, and Rome.

Four Decades as Tour Director

Professional Maturity and the "Aussie" Spirit

After a necessary pause to become a mother, I resumed my passion guiding American students with CHA and coordinating cultural programs for North American retirees with Elder Hostel.

In 2012, after a sabbatical year of "reset," I began a wonderful chapter with the Australian agency Bunnik Tours, with whom I continue collaborating today. Recently, I've also enjoyed the exclusivity of Rabbie's tours, designing experiences for very small groups.

As a tour director in Andalusia and beyond, every company and every continent has taught me something different — but the constant has always been the same: making every traveler feel not like a client, but like a cherished friend being shown someone's most sacred places.

InnYou: My Commitment to the Traveler

Today, all that accumulated experience crystallizes in InnYou Tours & Experiences. My goal as tour director in Andalusia is to share with travelers from every corner of the planet magical experiences that weave together history, gastronomy, and authentic connections with the local people. After so many years of service, what fills my heart the most remains the same: those notes of gratitude from people I've helped become a little happier.
